Happy New Year

January 1st, 2014 by dsteranko

Happy New Year from Silver Linings! When I was doing my Christmas shopping I looked to my right and here was this “sign” waiting for me. While not to get corny, I do believe there are signs every where for us. I remember when I was going through my struggles to have a child, at times I felt like there was no hope and that I was just destined to be one who couldn’t have a child. When you are doing everything you can and your body just doesn’t work the way that it is “supposed to”, it can be difficult to not throw in the towel and give up. But at the end of the day, hope is really all we have and if we give it up or let it go or forget about it, we can feel so alone. I have to really remind myself to keep my hope around and in the forefront of my mind. When things are going smoothly in our lives, it is easy to let the light of hope dim a little, and this little picture and sign remind me we always need hope to shine bright – if not for us…for those around us. I wish you a fantastically amazing 2014! There will undoubtedly be additional lessons for us to learn and traverse; we will have some days where we don’t know where to turn; but through it all, we can be guaranteed it will be a journey – one we have never experienced before and one that will always make us better. So, as the darkness of New Years Eve dawns into the bright New Year let us shine the light of hope into our lives. I can’t wait to see where 2014 will take all of us!! And thank you for letting me be a part of that journey.
